Lighting is important in both our living and working environment. Rightly chosen lighting can create a comfortable atmosphere, can reduce strain on our eyes and can even influence our health. The type of lighting we install in our buildings typically depends on the use of each space. For now there are mainly four kinds of lighting: incandescent, fluorescent, LED and halogen. Among them, halogen is the brightest and gives a natural looking light, which is widely used in kitchen or bathroom, whereas LED is most efficient but also the most expensive. However, LED lighting has a very long lifespan and can save more energy, so its becoming more popular in recent years. In order to have the best atmosphere, its important to use different types of lighting in our house, say for the kitchen area, bright and white light should be chosen; for the living room warmer colors should be used. And for bedrooms, lighting should be softer to avoid hurting our eyes. In short, lighting makes a lot of difference in our life. So we should take time to select the best kind of lighting in our house so that we can get the greatest benefit and enjoyment.
