Lighting is always an important part of design and an important factor in creating atmosphere in any space. As a designer, I use lighting to convey an emotion through a space design. Depending on the level of brightness or density of the bulbs, you can bring a different atmosphere to your interior design. When it comes to residential design, lighting plays a huge role in creating the right atmosphere in which the inhabitants can relax, socialize or practice any other activities. In this case, lighting can also function as central decoration. In more commercial settings, the use of lighting can influence surrounding atmosphere just as much, allowing customers to feel comfortable and relaxed; creating an inviting atmosphere that helps to promote sales. Another way to use lighting is to create accents and focus peoples eyes on specific items such as a piece of furniture. For this purpose I often use points of lighting to draw attention and increase the contrast. As for core lighting, it is important to warm up rooms with ambient lighting, like subtle table lamps or floor lamps, adding vintage feel. Lighting has its own language and it is worth exploring it further. You can bring warmth to a room and tell a story, you just need to pick the right light fixtures for the job. With it, you can craft an incredible canvas on which your design flourishes.
