During the Christmas holiday, Christmas lights are often displayed in and around the home. They can be used in many different creatively, from windows to trees and even rooftops. In fact, regardless of their practical purpose of providing illumination, Christmas lights can add a festive cheer and beauty to the scene. Most people hang Christmas lights in a traditional manner, which can include indoor or outdoor settings, such as windowsills, along the porch railing, around door-frames, or adorning the front lawn. But there are multiple ways in which to highlight the lights, even without the use of a staple gun. If one has access to a tall ladder, the lights can be strung up in trees to create a canopy of illumination, or simply randomly placed along the porch roofline. For the more creative types, the lights can be combined with other decorations for a unique event. For example, clusters of white lights can be placed along the bottom of the roof and then wired to the front porch railing to create a curtain-effect. A stand-alone set of lights can be attached to the porch roof and then connected to the front doorframe to yoke the two areas together and make the doorway look even more inviting. If one has multiple trees in the yard, strands of lights can be draped around each one to create a rainbow of colors. Christmas lights provide a sparkle and warmth to any holiday season. Homes are now decked out in all kinds of arrangements, from the traditional to the modern and fusing both techniques together.
